Although the threat of significant snow is in the forecast, we are still basking in the glow of accompanying our client, No.109 Boutique, on their spring/summer 2016 buying trip in NYC last week. Walking around the two shows, (ENK International and Accessories The Show), provided an overwhelming amount of inspiration for warm weather fashions.
While shop owner, Heather, re-visited tried and true brands popular in her store, the event was also a great opportunity to search for new, unique designers to bring into the mix. Staying disciplined and on-task was not an easy feat with so many options available at every turn! The massive selection drove home the importance of staying true to the overall feeling of the store. While it is crucial to stay current in terms of trends, it is equally critical to keep the quality and aesthetic consistent. Heather is a true professional and it was inspiring to watch her navigate through the shows.
The colors and textures for spring felt light, bright, and fun. We were swooning over the metallic band on these great tote handbags and clutches.
Picking out jewelry was like being a kid in a candy store! Why stop at just one when layering several at a time is so much better? These VSA Design necklaces were a huge holiday hit at No.109 and, after seeing what the spring line offers, it will be a sell out again, for sure.
Of course, after a long, productive day, we relaxed over a delicious dinner at The Smith restaurant in midtown Manhattan. The show was a three-day long event that resulted in a successful spring buying trip that customers are sure to love!
