The Edit: Chic DIY Halloween Decorations

image of chic DIY halloween decorations

If you’re like us and love halloween but can’t find the time to go all out than look no further because we rounded up the chicest and easiest DIY decorations.

Color Blocking Pumpkins: we’re all about color blocking so why not use that same idea for decorations? Just use shades of paint a few colors apart and add a couple of coats to your pumpkins. Display them on white candle sticks and cake stands for an extra wow factor.

Spooky Bar Cart: an easy way to decorate your home is with a spooky bar cart. The biggest task is collecting an assortment of liquor bottles and decanters then creating the potion labels, which you can get right here and print on these labels here. Just add some candy, a crow, a skull and voila!

Bat Mobile: leave it to Martha for this cute and easy decoration. Just gather some branches and spray paint them black. Trace the bat template found here onto card stock and fold them using the instructions on the template. Make a small hole in the center of each bat, loop with the string and attach to your branch. Hang the branch by two pieces of thread at the top of the window using thumbtacks.

Haunted Candlestick: an easy centerpiece for your table that adds just enough spook. Spray paint an old candlestick black and use purple candles for a goulish and dramatic effect.

Glam Pumpkins: shared by our most recent boss lady, Erika Brechtel, these glam pumpkins will have you never wanting (or needing) to carve another pumpkin again. All you need are your pumpkins, craft paint and gem stickers. Erika suggests doing at least two coats per pumpkin, so leave ample drying time.

We hope you enjoy!
