I absolutely LOVE “The Cut” by New York magazine. I just read Rebecca Harrington’s piece about testing Madonna’s “draconian fitness and nutritional regime” and laughed the entire time. She endured ten days of tofu and torture to enlighten those of us who don’t have the stamina (or the stomach) for such intensity. Read it for yourself here.
Madonna may have had a nip and tuck BUT, for 54, she has also passed on a cupcake or two. I am serious that when I read Gwyneth Paltrow’s blog “Goop”, I often fantasize about what size and shape I’d be in if I ate the bird food she does and worked out for 2 hours a day with Tracy Anderson. I would probably be the best version of myself (physically speaking, anyway) but at what COST? Could I sacrifice a summer filled with ice cream, pizza and chips and salsa?
I think we both know the answer to that question….
